We are currently in search of a high-caliber General Liability Senior Claims Professional. The successful candidate will have:
- Five plus (5+) years of advanced claims management technical expertise
- Significant understanding of complex coverages
- Strong litigation background

Compensation will be based on candidate's demonstrated Claims Adjusting expertise and required skillset to successfully perform this role.
The Senior Claim Professional position will manage a caseload of mid-to-high severity, complex and litigated General Liability cases and is responsible for successfully managing the day-to-day activities from a claim's inception through conclusion. Our claim professionals serve as the primary liaison between American Specialty, the Insurance Carrier, the Insured and the Claimant. Liaison duties include managing effective and timely communication between all parties and maintaining an accurate, up-to-date claim file documenting all required service-related activities.
WORK LOCATION OPTIONS:
Once the required licensing, training objectives and knowledge standards have been achieved, this senior level position will have the option of utilizing a 3/2 hybrid schedule between office and home or working 100% onsite within our office environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
This position will be required to consistently deliver 1) an advanced level of technical Claims knowledge, 2) a well-developed Claims Professional skillset, and 3) the highest level of Claims handling expertise in order to successfully carry out the day-to-day core job expectations outlined below:
- Significant general liability coverage technical expertise.
- Highly developed skills to accurately interpret complex coverages.
- Formulate accurate coverage opinions and prepare coverage letters.
- Conduct thorough investigations.
- Calculate injury/reserve evaluations.
- Actively create and implement file strategies, management of litigation and appropriate resolution of claims.
- Attendance at mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences.
- Timely and accurate communication with all parties involved in the management/overview of files. This requires being an active and productive part of the teamwork process.
- Strong ability to interpret contracts for opportunities of risk transference.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this role successfully, the selected candidate must exhibit a high level of ability to perform each task stated above in an independent and accurate manner. - Five or more years of advanced General Liability claim handling experience
- Active Adjuster licenses in required states (or acquire licensure in all states within six months of hire)
- Analytical skills for coverage determination
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word programs and ability to adapt quickly to proprietary internal programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
