Let's work together.
Our programs are written through independent agents, like you. We have a core belief that agents are important partners in the movement to provide quality insurance coverage and risk management guidance to the world of Sports, Leisure and Entertainment. We want to make your job easier, while helping you become better equipped to effectively market, write and service your target accounts. By partnering with you, we can increase our ability to understand the risks they face and provide the specific services they need.
CONTRACTING, LICENSING, AND APPOINTMENT(S) FOR PROSPECTIVE PRODUCERS
Before doing business with American Specialty, here’s what we need to get started:
AGENT AGREEMENT
This agreement is a valuable piece of our overall process and carries specific obligations and benefits for both you and American Specialty. This agreement formalizes the relationship between our respective organizations. Please review the agreement in its entirety, then complete, execute and return the signed original to American Specialty. The Agent Agreement will be countersigned by an American Specialty officer and returned to the agent. A copy of the agreement will remain on file with our companies. Click here to download Agent Agreement.
LICENSING
Each state's regulatory department requires licensing for any agent soliciting coverage within that state. Failure to maintain proper licensing status can result in penalties not only to the agent, but also to the insurer. In addition to the completed Agent Agreement, we require that you provide the following:
- A copy of your resident license and, if applicable, non-resident licenses for each state in which you have an account insured with our program.
- A copy of your agency’s corporate license issued by your state's Department of Insurance.
PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY
American Specialty requires that all agents provide evidence of coverage for errors and omissions liability coverage in an amount not less than $1,000,000 for any one event or occurrence. Liability coverage must be issued by a carrier rated "A" VII or better by A.M. Best.
- Please provide American Specialty with a Certificate of Insurance or other evidence of your E&O coverage.
FORM W-9
