Essential Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of underwriting submissions for review
  • Preparation of proposals and binders, including all supporting documentation
  • Rate submissions for commercial general liability, auto, inland marine, and property coverages
  • Invoicing
  • Issuance of policies and endorsements
  • Servicing existing accounts on a day-to-day basis
  • Setting up new and renewal accounts
  • Provide support/clerical assistance as needed for assigned Underwriter(s)

Key Qualifications:

  • Two, or more, years in insurance-related customer service experience is preferred
  • Candidate must possess Indiana P&C license, or alternatively take pre-licensing classes and pass exam upon hiring
  • General knowledge of ISO policy forms, including manuscript coverage forms
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel programs
  • Sharp focus on attention-to-detail with high percentage of accuracy in work product
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Daily interaction with assigned Underwriters, Sales/Account Coordinators and Accounting team
  • Ability to work independently, but be team oriented
